Les Joyaux De La Princesse - In Memoriam P. Henriot 1889-1944

A more recent release from LJDLP, this one is an "homage" to Philippe Henriot, known as the "French Goebbels" during the Vichy France regime. He was chief orator during that time, later being elevated to Minister of Information and Propaganda. Killed June 28th, 1944, by members of the Resistance while he slept.

CD remaster of the original release in 2004, which came boxed with one 10" picdisc, one 10" grey vinyl disc, three postcards, and two inserts reproducing Henriot's speeches and proclamations.

The wonderful first release from one of my favorite artists of all time. Les Joyaux De La Princesse is Erik Konofal. Each of his releases present an exhaustively-researched historical point of interest, always dealing with the state of Europe (and France in particular) in the era building up to and during World War II. It's difficult to pidgeonhole him into a particular genre, but industrial is the one most commonly associated with him. His compositions range from droning industrial landscapes to mournful organ dirges, often sampling archival vocal songs and speeches from his era of interest.

This is a remastered version of his first release, which was limited to 49 cassette copies in packaging which set the tone for what would be a trend of lavish presentation: a wooden, coffin-shaped box with several postcard inserts and a sheaf of wheat.

Sutcliffe Jügend - We Spit On Their Graves

Way back in 1982, Sutcliffe Jügend (Kevin Tomkins) released their inaugural work, a 10-cassette box on Come Organisation entitled We Spit On Their Graves as an homage to the Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe. The cassette box of this release is now nearly impossible to find. Some intrepid Japanese individuals managed to dub a copy and press a 10 LP bootleg set limited to 100 copies. The bootleg itself goes for nearly $800 at last sighting.

This release lacks the power electronics brutality of later releases such as When Pornography Is No Longer Enough and The Victim As Beauty, but still retains a deep growling anger and intensity.

This is a 192k rip which surfaced late last year on USENET. The quality is not great, considering the source (tape > LP > mp3).

PLEASE only download this if you plan to listen to it. It's a hefty amount of data, close to 800MB total, and it's coming from my personal hosting.

V01D is a song/album by the norwegian drone doom band Hlidolf. Who im sure some of you are have heard of but by the name Hjarnidaudi. This is the original name of the band, and the aproach this band took to drone doom was unlike any other. This is multi layered drone doom of epic proportions. Lasting 70 minutes with a constant flowing progression, albeit hardly noticeable progression this is an album like no other.

man i wish i had an actual copy of this. probably my favorite release from Gero, this one eschews the barrage of rapid-fire bullshit noise of his other 7"s (like Yellow Trash Bazooka, All You Need Is Audioshock, and the previously posted Mother Fellatio) and instead uses a rather ordinary tracklist. technically i'm not supposed to be posting this at the request of the guy who originally ripped it (setzer, if you read this, i'm sorry but this needs to be shared with the masses), but that was in april of this year and, i mean come on, it's great! more people should be exposed to this shit. this 1993 release was limited to 300 copies and came with a 12-page booklet, scans of which are included.

the track "Ai Jin" is Juntaro singing a duet over a japanese pop song. the track was actually pressed onto a 7" flexi, (nearly) all 2000 copies of which Juntaro himself burned on a beach in Japan in 1988.

Coming straight from Australia's Shitwank label (run by Passenger Of Shit), this is a solo noise work by Krishna Thorburn, who, along with PoS, comprises one third of the noise trio Rancid Shit Wank. This release is heavy on the screaming, with loads of digital noise sprinkled througout. I have difficulty believing that Thorburn still has his vocal chords intact after such regular abuse.
